Repp Sports ReactR: Go Nuclear on your Workouts!
Repp Sports is one of the newest of the new brands that’s attacking weaknesses in the industry with a few hot products we’ve seen so far. The brand is headlined by their fusion-powered pre workout ReactR that’s sure to have you going nuclear on the weights come workout time.

If this bottle doesn’t catch your attention, we don’t know what will!

ReactR is a rather potent pre workout that packs focus, energy, pumps, and performance in four different proprietary blends. We reached out to Repp Sports to see if they’d be willing to at least divulge the caffeine and DMHA content since this seems to be the area that most heavily impacts a person’s purchase.

Repp gladly responded and said that each scoop of ReactR contains a total of 200mg caffeine combined of anhydrous + citrate, and 100mg DMHA.

Pump and Performance Blend (4,000mg)
Beta Alanine
Reactr contains 3 proprietary blends, but Repp Sports disclosed that each scoop contains a total of 200mg combined caffeine plus 100mg of DMHA.

Like many pre workouts these days, ReactR contains the premier endurance booster, beta alanine. It helps increase carnosine levels in the body which amplifies the body’s ability to buffer lactic acid and help reduce the “burning” sensation that sets in during prolonged working sets.

Beta alanine supplementation improves endurance, power, and strength, while at the same time reducing fatigue. The clinical dose is 3.2g spread out across the day, and chances are likely that you aren’t getting hit with anything over 1.5-2g worth here, so you’d be wise to add another 1.5-2g raw beta alanine powder on the opposite end of the day.

Betaine Anhydrous

Betaine Anhydrous is the next performance boosting ingredient included in ReactR. You’ll also see it under the name trimethylglycine or TMG for short.

Derived from sugar beets, betaine boosts power, strength, and endurance, while also reducing soreness; however, those claims can only be made at a dose of which you’re not getting here.

There will still be benefits, but if you want the full effect documented in the research, you’ll need the full 2.5g dose, which could mean adding a couple betaine capsules or taking a muscle-building supplement that includes it elsewhere in your day.

Taurine is one of the most abundant amino acids that helps draw water and nutrients into muscles that helps with endurance.

Taurine is a conditionally essential amino acid located in large amounts in the brain. In addition to improving performance, taurine also enhances mental focus and cognition.

Taurine also functions as a cell volumizer in skeletal muscle which enhances muscle fullness, endurance, and  “water-based” pumps. Make sure you’re drinking at least 16oz of water with this ingredient to really take full advantage of its effects.

    Citrulline Malate

Citrulline Malate consists of L-Citrulline and Malic Acid and used frequently as an incredibly potent nitric oxide (N.O.) booster. It’s leaps and bounds better than L-Arginine due to its superior bioavailability. Citrulline Malate increases circulation, vasodilation, and most notably pumps! Furthermore, it also supports ATP production, which improves work capacity and intra set recovery.

However, you really need to get 6-8g of Citrulline Malate to really take advantage of its benefits. Unfortunately, you’re simply not getting nearly enough of it here.

    Laser Focus Blend (555mg)

    Acetyl L-Tyrosine

ReactR contains 3 unique blends to improve your performance, focus, and energy during workouts.

Tyrosine is an amino acid commonly used as a focus booster in many supplements. The acetylated version of the amino should offer improved bioavailability of the free form L- version of the ingredient.

Research indicates that Tyrosine can enhance mental focus by increasing the production of noradrenaline and dopamine in the body, two vitally important neurotransmitters. It also supports healthy  mood while alleviating stress.

    Choline Bitartrate

The next focus booster is another common ingredient in choline bitartrate. This ingredient is a PricePlow favorite renowned for its ability to significantly elevate focus and the always necessary “mind-muscle” connection.

Choline bitartrate has poorer bioavailability and absorption compared to more bioavailable choline forms such as Alpha GPC or CDP Choline, meaning you’ll require a greater dose of the bitartrate form than either of the ones mentioned in order to really “feel” it working.

    Mucuna Pruriens L-DOPA

L-DOPA first raises plasma L-DOPA levels… and then comes the dopamine burst!

Also known as Velvet Bean, Mucuna Pruriens is typically standardized for L-Dopa, and ReactR’s extract is no different. L-Dopa is precursor to dopamine and when supplemented, it boosts dopamine production which helps reduce stress and markedly increase mood — ultimately enhancing concentration and mental performance.

L-Dopa also helps support growth hormone levels, decrease cortisol, and optimize testosterone levels.

    Huperzine A

The final ingredient in Laser Focus Blend is the potent nootropic, Huperzine A, a.k.a. Toothed Clubmoss Extract. Unlike choline bitartrate which directly boosts production of acetylcholine, Huperzine A actually prevents its breakdown.

Acetylcholinesterase is the enzyme that degrades acetylcholine, by inhibiting its production, Huperzine indirectly increases amounts of this crucial neurotransmitter. The end result is that acetylcholine lasts longer producing sustained powerful focus.

    Insane Energy Blend (322mg)

    Caffeine Anhydrous

The bread and butter of every stimulant blend in pre workouts, caffeine provides the opening salvo of energy in ReactR’s nuclear powered energy blend. Caffeine is fantastic for just about everything (well, except maybe sleep!). It enhances many of the other stimulants to come as well as alertness, focus and performance.

    Kigelia Africana Extract (100mg)

Also known as DMHA or 2-Aminoisoheptane, Kigelia Africana extract has been the go-to stimulant of 2016. DMHA is an aliphatic amine, similar in structure and function to the most well known aliphatic amine of all time, DMAA. The difference between the two is that DMAA seems to give users more never-ending focus, while DMHA conveys more of a “euphoric” type of feel.

A study titled Metabolic Profiling of Kigelia africana Extracts with Anti-Cancer Activity by High Resolution Tandem Mass Spectroscopy was the first to identify the amines in the plant responsible for its mood-elevating and stimulating properties. It also mentions some other applications where it’s been used before, including as an antibacterial, anti-cancer, and analgesic (pain relieving) agent.

    Caffeine Citrate

DMHA: A new workout/focus stimulant that’s roughly ~90% the strength of DMAA, has animal research, and seems to be compliant? Healthy and experienced stimulant users read on!

Our second form of caffeine is caffeine citrate, a combination of caffeine and citric acid. It offers the same effects as pure caffeine, the difference is that caffeine citrate is 50% caffeine by mass, and anecdotal accounts note that it gives a more sustained release of energy and an easier “comedown” from the stimulant kick, if any comedown at all. This kind of mix is a crash preventer.

    Citrus Aurantium (30% Synephrine)

Citrus Aurantium is a plant known to contain a number of bioactive alkaloids (synephrine being one of them), that’s also known by the name of Bitter Orange. Synephrine functions as a very strong Beta-2 and Beta-3 adrenergic receptor agonist that stimulates lipolysis, a process that frees stored triglycerides and releases them into the bloodstream to be used as a source of fuel.

This essentially allows you to “burn fat” for fuel during low intensity activities, like watching tv or walking around the house, thus sparing your glycogen stores for intense activities like sprinting or weightlifting.

    Hordenine HCI

Hordenine is another beta-receptor agonizing alkaloid found in Citrus Aurantium that’s very similar to our previous ingredient,synephrine. Beta-2 agonists help increase energy expenditure, which support fat loss efforts (not the primary goal here but a nice “extra” benefit). More importantly, beta agonists like Hordenine function as noradrenaline reuptake modulators, which means hordenine increases the longevity of noradrenaline, leading to greater focus, energy, and alertness!

    Black Pepper Extract (95% Piperine)

Repp Sports is one of the hottest companies to burst on the scene and they’ve go some pretty interesting things coming down the pipeline.

Black Pepper extracts are almost always included for their ability to enhance the bioavailability of other compounds present in supplements of all kinds from pre workouts to fat burners and everything in between. ReactR is no different, and given the number of different ingredient packed in here, you’ll benefit greatly from the increased bioavailability of its components.

    Yohimbine HCI

Last but not least, we have the popular fat burning ingredient Yohimbine HCl. In the body, Yohimbine functions as an alpha-2-adrenergic blocking agent that increases noradrenaline release. Research into Yohimbine indicates it’s extremely useful at freeing stored “stubborn” fats and suppressing hunger cravings, while at the same time increasing lipolysis and energy expenditure.

Overall, it’s going to come down to how that energy blend was formulated, and that’s why we’re seeing if we can get a few of these ingredients disclosed.

      Flavors Available

ReactR comes in four rather intriguing and delicious sounding flavors. ReactR will be available imminently, and once its here, it will be available if four extremely intriguing-sounding flavors:

ReactR includes a rather diverse array of ingredients formulated to improve all aspects of your workout from focus to pump to energy. But, let’s not kid ourselves, the main thing that’s going to attract everyone to it, is the inclusion of DMHA.

From the outlook, ReactR seems to be an energy-first type of pre workout with the pumps and performance metrics taking a backseat given the lower doses of ergogenics included.
